Only a few more days
So, loyal fans, here is the lowdown - Dad and Ruth should reach Baxter State Park today. They will hike as far as the Katahdin Stream Campground, and which time Ruth's son, Wally, will pick them up, so that they have a down day on Saturday at Ruth's house. Chris and I will also be heading to Maine on Saturday, so that we can all go to Baxter and hike the last leg up to the peak together.
The phone reception in Maine has been very spotty, so I haven't had many reports, but that's the plan.
